

This course prepares qualified individuals to operate as armed security officers in accordance with Arizona regulations. Upon successful completion, participants will meet the training requirements to carry a firearm while performing armed security duties.
The program focuses on legal responsibility, use-of-force decision making, and firearms proficiency—ensuring officers are prepared to respond professionally and lawfully in high-risk environments.

- Practical shooting and range qualification
To successfully complete this course, students must meet the following standards:
- Written Examination
A minimum passing score of 70% is required.
- Firearms Qualification
Students must complete a 50-round shooting qualification with a minimum score of 70%.
- Ammunition Use
Approximately 200 rounds will be fired during the course.

Students are required to bring:
- Duty-style revolver or semi-automatic handgun
- Holster suitable for security work
- At least two magazines or speed loaders
Firearm rentals may be available upon request.
Ammunition and range fees are not included in the course price.
This course is not designed for beginner shooters.
Participants must already have basic firearms proficiency. While instructors will provide guidance, students are expected to be familiar with safe firearm handling and shooting fundamentals.
Online Instruction (Day 1)
- Complete the classroom portion online at your own pace
- On-demand access allows you to pause and resume as needed
- The online portion must be completed before scheduling your range day
In-Person Range Qualification
- Live-fire training and qualification
- Supervised by certified instructors
