Arizona Veteran Security’s School SERT Team (Strategic Embedded Response Team) provides trained, on-site security professionals focused on prevention, visibility, and rapid response within school campuses.
This service is designed to support schools facing modern safety challenges while maintaining a secure and welcoming learning environment.
Why Schools Need Embedded Security
Schools have always managed behavioral challenges, bullying, and student conflicts. Today, however, safety concerns require more than physical barriers or reactive policies.
While measures like fencing, access restrictions, or metal detectors can help, they are costly, difficult to maintain long term, and not a complete solution on their own.

What Is a School SERT Team?
A School SERT Team is a Strategic Embedded Response Team assigned directly to a school campus.
These officers serve as the first line of defense, trained to:
Identify early warning signs
Deter potential threats
Report concerns quickly and accurately
Respond immediately when incidents occur
They operate with professionalism, discretion, and discipline—supporting both safety and school policies.
How SERT Teams Support School Safety
School SERT Team members provide:
Continuous on-campus security presence
Active monitoring of student and visitor activity
Incident prevention and early intervention
Rapid response to safety concerns
Clear communication with school administration
Coordination with emergency responders when required

All School SERT Team members are trained and certified in accordance with:
Interagency Security Committee (ISC) best practices
Department of Homeland Security–approved standards
Arizona state laws and regulations
Arizona Department of Public Safety Security Officer Program
